Balfour's pies, pasties & sausage rolls are yuck, "used" to be really good,once, maybe around 1987...but now terrible junk...& frog cakes are🤮...only the donuts, although they don't bother with the type from years gone...pineapple,caramel,strawberry,cinnamon, icing...means profit is the name of the game

Service is great, always lovely staff and owners. Serving the best coffees in the city. Balfours pies and pastries are above average but not the best. Best donuts and custard tart. Elbio's range are fantastic.

DONT ASK FOR TOMATO SAUCE HE'LL EMPTY HALF THE BOTTLE INTO YOUR PIE!!!!! terrible service & prices.

Always loved this place, I miss the original Cafe from many years ago, its great to see the same people running it from the last time I was here about 7 years ago. Very friendly and prompt service.

I have been purchasing my morning coffee from Balfours City Cross for a number of years. Owners and staff are all fantastic people and their coffee is first class. Highly recommended Balfours City Cross.

Staff always welcome me with a big smile and say thanks even if I buy a simple coffee. I come here everytime I fancy a coffee in the afternoons.

Sat back and watched every staff member (3) and the 2 owners on their mobile phones. Staff adjusting their hair without washing their hands afterwords. 3 people serving one customer takes away that personal interaction. Maybe the owner should stagger staff starting times so they don't stand around giving the time to do this. I will not patronize this establishment for these reasons. Balfours is a iconic S.A. business being let down by these owners.
